Just over a mile from the coast, Crowborough is a small secluded farmhouse, very peaceful, and just 8 minutes' walk from Georgeham village and its two welcoming pubs. Ideal for those seeking a quiet break away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Spend the days out and about exploring the coast and countryside, golfing, surfing, or just lying on a sandy beach, then return to the peace and quiet of Crowborough.

In the breakfast/sitting room you can make yourselves a hot drink and relax with a book, or watch TV. Come with a group of 4 or more people and be sure of having this room to yourselves - ideal if you would like to sit and chat in front of the wood burner on a cold winter's night with a cup of hot chocolate - or perhaps you would prefer to bring a bottle of wine with you. On summer evenings you might like to come back and enjoy some peace and quiet after a pleasant meal out.

Breakfast is at 9am, or earlier by arrangement. Juice, cereal, toast, cooked breakfast, tea/coffee. Let me know if you have any special dietary needs and I will try to oblige.

The 3 bedrooms (double, small double and twin) are simply furnished, light, airy and comfortable with pleasant country views. The 2 bathrooms on the landing both have bath with shower over.

Local Information :

Georgeham is a small village with 2 excellent pubs, a well-stocked and friendly Post Office/General Store, a thriving village primary school, a garage (repairs only), and church with 8-bell peal (visiting ringers are welcomed). Georgeham is close to all the sandy beaches of North Devon, being just 2 miles inland from Croyde and only one mile from Putsborough Beach. Woolacombe is only 4 miles away, as is Saunton with its 4-mile stretch of beach.

Putsborough (one mile) is an award-winning Blue Flag beach with rocks and rock-pools.

Croyde (2 miles) is a pretty seaside village with picturesque thatched cottages and places to eat.
Woolacombe (4 miles) is a large seaside village with beautiful beach.

Saunton (4 miles) has a 4-mile stretch of golden sand behind which lie Braunton Burrows Biosphere Reserve (home to some unique flora) and Saunton Championship Golf Course.

Ilfracombe is just 8 miles away on the northern coast
