Cottisford is just off the A43 Oxford-Northampton road. Despite its easy access to motorways and major towns, Cottisford is a small, quiet hamlet consisting of about 20 houses,a church and nothing else. A car is essential.

We offer two double rooms with ensuite bath or shower room and WC.

Both bedrooms have comfortable beds, central heating, colour TV, VCR, alarm clock radio,hospitality tray, hair dryer,wifi internet connection and have views over open countryside.

Guests may use the pretty garden and there is ample off-street parking.

The above rates include our extensive English breakfast, which includes: fruit juice, cereals, fruit and/or yoghurt, a choice of cooked breakfast including local free-range eggs, home-made bread/toast with home-made marmalade and jam, plus a cafetiere of coffee or a pot of tea.

Dinner can be served by prior arrangement, or we can recommend some excellent and reasonable restaurants and pubs nearby.

Local Information :

There are many country walks directly from the house on public rights of way, including one through a country estate just five minutes walk away.

We are less than 10 minutes drive from Bicester (Designer Outlet Shopping Village), Brackley, a delightful Georgian market town and Buckingham (market town with museum)and only half an hour from the centre of  Oxford, with its colleges, wonderful botanic gardens, punts on the river, museums and many excellent restaurants.

Silverstone, the home of the British Grand Prix is only 15 minutes drive.

Stowe Landscape Gardens and Claydon House, both National Trust, are  only 20 minutes' drive away, as is the picturesque little town of Woodstock, with Blenheim Palace. There are many walks in the palace's park and gardens, good restaurants and pubs and interesting shops in the town.

Golf is very nearby at the Buckingham Golf Club - Established in 1914, Buckingham Golf Club is a traditional private members’ club set in 130 acres of beautiful rolling Buckinghamshire countryside. We welcome visitors on weekdays (except Bank Holidays) throughout the year. Visitors may only play at the weekend as the guest of a member.  Our 18 holes, 6,162 yards, par 71  parkland course offers a fair but challenging test to golfers of all abilities.  The Club's desire to offer the best possible golfing experience to its members and visitors was enhanced by the replacement of all 18 greens with new greens built to USGA specification, which opened for play in May 2005.
