Only five miles from the fabulous city of Bath, the B&B is situated in a fantastic location to explore the city and the striking surrounding countryside.  From a wonderful location in the middle of the Wiltshire Countryside, Lorne House offers guests a smart, sophisticated place to stay.  With plenty of off-street parking for our guests and the recently refurbished interior Lorne House is a stylish Bed & Breakfast providing our visitors with an elegant charm and friendly welcome.

At Lorne House we have four beautifully designed bedrooms all of which have elegant en-suite bathrooms with invigorating showers.  Two of the bedrooms have baths, which guests can request when booking.  We can provide our rooms as doubles, twins or as family accommodation.

Guests can relax and enjoy a good night’s sleep in our beautiful Egyptian cotton bed linen and make use of the features that each room offers including a flat screen TV with a DVD player, free wi-fi Internet Connection, tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer.  Ironing and laundry facilities are also available upon request.

At Lorne House we offer our guests a scrumptious full English or continental breakfast with a choice of eggs.  All our meat is locally sourced and organic wherever possible.  A choice of teas/coffees and juices, cereals, fruit and porridge are also available.

In addition to accommodation, Lorne House provides flexible business facilities, suitable for small seminars, training or board room type meetings.  Our rooms can be set out according to your requirements, from small one day informal sales meetings or week long formal training sessions, Lorne House provides a stylish location with a difference. 
 
We work with local caterers to provide a lunch of your choice from a casual buffet to a three course dinner.  In addition to this we provide fresh teas and coffees throughout the day.
Our business facilities offer all the equipment you would expect to find in any business conference facility.  If you require any additional equipment we would be able to hire it in on your behalf.

The Manor House Golf Club - Castle Combe
Designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark and opened for play in 1992 it is one of the most spectacular and challenging 18-hole, par 72 golf courses in the UK. The mature oak and beech trees that line the magnificent fairways together with the hand-cut greens and the River Bybrook meandering through the middle bring both drama and beauty.

Whitley Golf Club
Whitley Golf Club is a 9 hole parkland course located between Melksham and Corsham on the B3353. We are famed for our friendly atmosphere, welcoming everyone, whether they are complete beginners or more experienced golfers. This flat Parkland course is suited to people of all ages and ability.

Cumberwell Park Golf Club - 36 holes
The Adrian Stiff designed 36 hole course is broken down to 4 very different 9's encompassing a perfect mixture of rolling countryside, tranquil woodland and challenging water features.  The first 9, the red loop is the parkland course. Undulating parkland with streams and rolling fairways.   The yellow loop, the woodland course, is picturesque playing through and around ancient woodland. It requires both strategic thought and accuracy. The blue loop, the Lakeland course, is characterised by a number of water features including several holes designed around the main Cumberwell lake. The orange course, the newest of the courses, is inland links style providing stunning views and many subtle design features.

Kingsdown Golf Club
he downland course is renowned for its beautiful scenery, luscious fairways and, of course, its superb greens. The excellent drainage makes play possible all year round.  From the Men’s White Tees, the course, a Par 72, measures 6,445 yards in length.
