Thatched Farm is a charming Grade II listed property surrounded by open countryside in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Nestling in its own 1.9 acres of beautifully maintained gardens, we are 5 minutes from Woodbridge, Suffolk on the Heritage Coast. Dressed in traditional Suffolk pink colourwash with partially thatched roof, Thatched Farm is believed to date from the 17th Century and has since been carefully renovated to provide bed & breakfast accommodation and self-catering holiday cottages.

Situated between the village of Waldringfield and Woodbridge on the River Deben, Thatched Farm is only a short drive to explore the Concert Halls at Snape, Framlingham Castle, the quaint Victorian seaside spa town of Southwold, Sutton Hoo, historic Aldeburgh, nearby bird-watching at RSPB Minsmere and the lively hub of Ipswich with its high street shopping and quay-side dining to name but a few.

Whether you are visiting Suffolk to enjoy its wildlife-rich river and coastal walks and cycle routes, one of the many golf and sailing opportunities, beaches, fantastic restaurants, or just to immerse yourself in the local culture, music festivals or quaint Suffolk towns and villages, Thatched Farm can provide an oasis of calm and tranquillity in which to retreat and relax.

Bed & Breakfast at Thatched Farm :

Two comfortable cottage style double rooms available:
Ground Floor double room with private use of shower room and tea/coffee making facilities. Private use of sun lounge overlooking the gardens; for breakfast and relaxing, either with a book, or in front of the television.

First Floor double room with private use of bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities. Private use of Thatched Farm’s comfortable breakfast/ sitting area with television.

Full English breakfast or a generous continental available and we will do our best to meet any dietary requirements provided you let us know in advance.

Laundry facilities are available on site plus ample parking and secure cycle storage. Hairdryers in rooms. Free wireless Internet access.

Cottages at Thatched Farm
We are pleased to offer self-catering holiday accommodation in our two newly refurbished cottages in the grounds of Thatched Farm.

Daffodil Cottage - sleeps 3(4)  
Newly fitted kitchenette including fridge, electric oven, hob and microwave. Open plan living/ dining area with comfortable seating, TV, DVD and radio. Separate newly fitted shower room.
Up the winding oak staircase is a very pretty galleried mezzanine double bedroom. A separate steep staircase to the single mezzanine bedroom

Bluebell Studio - sleeps 2
Next door to Daffodil cottage is the cute Bluebell ground floor studio. The newly fitted small kitchenette with fridge, electric oven, hob, microwave and breakfast bar opens into the studio double sleeping/living area with French windows opening onto the gardens.

TV, DVD and radio. Separate newly fitted shower room.

Each cottage has its own garden table and chairs and guests are free to use and enjoy the gardens. Heating, linen, towels and tea towels are provided, together with a small welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and sugar. Small DVD library available. Free wireless internet access.

Golf is nearby at Waldringfield Heath Golf Club and Woodbridge Golf Club.
