Welcome to Incleborough House near to Sheringham Golf Course and Royal Cromer Golf Course Built in 1687 for a local wealthy landowner and remodelled and enlarged in 1792 into it’s current style, Incleborough has over the last century or so gradually lost much of it’s land but none of it’s character or grandeur. It still remains a stunning grade II listed country house. We have just completed a six-month renovation and conversion (using local builders and traditional materials where possible) into what we feel is North Norfolk’s newest and most exciting luxury retreat. The house simply oozes charm, grandeur and character. The floors are not quite straight, some of the doorways are a bit too small and many walls are quirky. But throughout, there is a feeling of real quality and well-being. Set in a magnificent half acre of mature English walled gardens overlooking the Lower Common in the small fishing village of East Runton, it is just 300 metres from the beach. East Runton is a small and pretty North Norfolk seaside village with beautiful surrounding countryside for summer and winter walks plus a superb beach, local shops and pubs – all just minutes away. Nearby Cromer has larger shops, a charming old church, a main line train station, a fabulous pier, scrummy chip shops and restaurants. The nearby historic Georgian town of Holt and the market town of Sheringham have antique shops, galleries, cafes and bistros. Incleborough is a family run business offering every comfort and a wonderful home cooked Aga breakfast with fresh produce from local suppliers. We have three sumptuous luxury en-suite bedrooms and a special welcome with a friendly and informal atmosphere awaits your arrival. Incleborough House has been awarded the 5 star Bed & Breakfast rating from the Tourist Board and the AA and the AA Highly Commended Award. Our Facilities We have a drawing room for the exclusive use of our guests at all times. It is intended to be a place for relaxation and, if you feel like it, a friendly chat. We deliberately do not have a television in this room, although we do have a hi-fi for a little background music. There is a real fire here for a little cheer on those chilly days and a computer for guests to use (at no charge) for internet access. We do not have a drinks licence, so cannot sell any, but you are very welcome to bring your own wine or other drinks and we will be pleased to let you have appropriate glasses for use either in the drawing room or in your own room. All of our three bedrooms are individual and very different. Each one has luxury en-suite facilities with drench shower units and under floor heating. The rooms have comfortable and spacious seating areas with LCD televisions receiving all free to air channels via Sky satellite. There are DVD players and units providing VHF radio with CD. Each room has a broadband access point for laptop computers. The coast is perhaps the jewel in Norfolk's crown. There are expansive sandy beaches (East Runton’s being only 300 metres away) with award winning blue flag ones at Cromer and Sheringham. At Holkham and Wells-next-The Sea, pine woods edge the sand dunes; historic harbour villages such as Blakeney, Morston and Brancaster Staithe - with houses of red brick and flint construction – are all waiting to be explored. The Norfolk Wildlife Trust has reserves for resident and migratory birds at Cley, Hickling and Holme. The Broadland Conservation Centre is at Ranworth. The seal population at Blakeney Point can be visited by boat from Morston and Blakeney. Golfers Please note: We are only 3 miles from Sheringham golf course and 2 miles from the Royal Cromer and we can provide storage for golf clubs over night.
